1. What are shares of water worth?

This is a willing buyer willing seller issue. MVIC does not have the answer.

2.  When is my annual assessment due?

Payments made in full are due by April 30.  Payments made in halves are due on February 28 and July 31.

3.  Do I have to pay an assessment if I do not use my water?

Yes.  Annual assessments are based on ownership, not the amount of water used.

4.  If I don't use my water, will I lose it?

No.

5.  Can I lease my water to someone else if I am not planning to use it?

Yes.  There is a form available for both parties to sign.  The fee is $25 if completed before April 15 and $50 after April 15.

6. What happens if I don't have enough water?

Make sure your head gate is clear of debris.

7. What happens if my neighbor is flooding me out?

This is an issue between you and your neighbor.

8. What is a regular season for irrigation?

April 1st through October 31st

9. Do I have to call in to get my water turned on?

Yes. Please call 565-3332.

10. Can someone else call in and find out about my water?

No. Not without written permission.

11. How do I transfer my shares to someone else?

You must sign a power of attorney for the transfer of stock form and present that along with the original stock certificate and a $50 transfer fee.  We will issue a new stock certificate.

12. What happens if I lose my stock certificate?

You must obtain a surety bond.

13. What size water meter do I need?

It depends on your total inflow.

14. What do I do if I have a complaint about my Ditch Rider?

16. How do I find out how much water I have remaining for the season?

17. When are the board meetings?

The second Tuesday of each month at 1 pm.
